After an intensive research and marketing effort, spanning almost a year, Trent and I have decided to seek approval of our TRADITIONS community concept elsewhere in the State. Although we have gained the support of many people and organizations, the overwhelming public and political sentiment here in Calvert County strongly discourages residential growth and in particular, multi-family housing. While our intention was to create a vibrant, upscale community, it was impossible to change the local perception that all multi-family housing was low-income.

To our further dismay, the positive environmental, economical and social benefits of TRADITIONS as well as our commitments to fix the Mears Avenue traffic back-up and improve Kellams Field resonated very little with most people and politicians.

To all those who listened to our story and believed in our community, we extend our heartfelt appreciation.
